One charger for the laptop and the phone, small enough to actually carry

The charger that came with your laptop is usually the bulkiest thing in the bag, and it only charges the laptop. So you carry a second one for the phone, and when you forget either, the day gets awkward.

The Eplugit 65W USB-C GaN Charger is the one you leave in the bag permanently. Sixty-five watts is the sweet spot for the machines most people actually use — 13-inch and 14-inch laptops — and the same USB-C port steps down to fast-charge a phone or tablet. Gallium nitride (GaN) internals run cooler and take up less space than conventional silicon, so it is noticeably smaller than the brick it is replacing.

Enough speed to be useful in a coffee break

The charger is rated to take a compatible device from flat to 50% in about 30 minutes, so a short stop is enough to get you through an afternoon of meetings rather than hunting for a power point.

Certified for Australia — and that is not a small thing

This charger holds SAA approval and carries the RCM mark, and we are registered as a Responsible Supplier under the Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS).

That matters more than it sounds. A mains charger is a device you plug into 230 volts and then leave running on your desk, in your hotel room, or beside your bed. Australian electrical safety law exists for exactly that reason, and compliance is not optional for this class of product. A large share of the cheap USB-C chargers sold through overseas marketplaces into Australia carry no valid approval at all — and if something goes wrong with one, you have no local recourse and possibly an insurance problem.

Ours is approved, marked, and sold by an Australian business you can actually contact.

What it works with

Laptops

Built for USB-C charging laptops including MacBook, HP and Dell models. It also suits other USB-C laptops in the same class — Lenovo, ASUS, Acer and Chromebooks — provided they charge over USB-C.

Phones and tablets

iPhone and Samsung Galaxy phones, plus USB-C tablets, earbuds, power banks and handheld consoles. The port steps down automatically to whatever the device asks for.

Honest limitations

At 65W, this charger is sized for 13-inch and 14-inch laptops. A 16-inch MacBook Pro or a gaming laptop will usually charge from it, but more slowly than from its original supply, and it may not keep up under heavy load — for those machines, our 100W GaN charger is the right choice. There is a single USB-C port, so it charges one device at a time, there is no USB-A port, and the device must support USB-C charging. You will also need a USB-C cable rated for the wattage you want — our 2-metre USB-C to USB-C cable is rated to 100W/5A and covers this charger at full output.

Protection built in

Over-current, over-temperature and over-charge protection are built into the charger, so it backs off or shuts down instead of pushing power where it should not go.

Why buy from an Australian seller

It ships with an Australian Type I plug, so it goes straight into the wall without a travel adapter dangling off it — unlike most chargers bought from overseas marketplaces, which arrive with the wrong pins and a three-week wait attached.

We hold stock in Australia and dispatch from here. Order before 2pm on a business day and it ships the same day, with free shipping. Every order includes a proper Australian tax invoice showing GST, which matters if you are buying through a business. The charger is covered by a 12-month Australian warranty and our 30-day money-back guarantee, and any problem is handled by a local team you can ring.

Frequently asked questions

Will 65W be enough for my laptop?

For most 13-inch and 14-inch laptops, yes — including MacBook, HP and Dell models that charge over USB-C. A 16-inch or gaming laptop will generally still charge, but more slowly than with its original supply and possibly not while it is working hard. For those, our 100W GaN charger is the better fit.

Is this charger legal and safe to use in Australia?

Yes. It holds SAA approval, carries the RCM mark, and we are registered as a Responsible Supplier under the Electrical Equipment Safety System. It is built for Australian 230V mains and ships with an Australian Type I plug.

Can I use it for my iPhone or Samsung as well?

Yes. The USB-C port steps down automatically for phones, tablets, earbuds and power banks, so the same charger covers your laptop and your phone.

Is a USB-C cable included?

Check the “In the box” details before ordering. If you need one, our 2-metre USB-C to USB-C cable is rated for charging up to 100W/5A, which comfortably covers this charger at full output.

How fast will it arrive, and what if it is faulty?

Order before 2pm on a business day and we dispatch the same day from within Australia, with free shipping — rather than the roughly three weeks an overseas order takes. Every order comes with an Australian tax invoice, and the charger is covered by a 12-month Australian warranty and our 30-day money-back guarantee.
